Karl Matthias Wantzen, Professor of aquatic Ecology and population Biology in the University of Tours - UMR 7324 CITERES, chief scientist and holder of the LIFE project.
Catherine Boisneau, Senior lecturer in population biology and aquatic ecology in the University of Tours – UMR 7324 CITERES- Head of the IMACOF department at the EPU Polytech’Tours

Chinon university establishment
Located in an heritage setting in front of the Vienne and of the Chinon’s castle, the project is led from the 11 Quai Danton in Chinon. Approximately located 50 km from Tours, this university establishment works on aquatic environment themes for about 30 years. The breeding and rearing station for the Giant Pearl Mussel is based on this site.
